11 Years of Agiliway: Transition to Responsible AI-Augmented Software Development

Eleven years ago, Agiliway began its journey as a software development company. Since then, technology has evolved dramatically, from mobile applications and cloud platforms to generative artificial intelligence, which is now transforming entire industries.

Today, Agiliway is an international team of more than 200 professionals working across the United States, Poland, Ukraine, and Argentina. We build digital products for companies around the world, combining deep engineering expertise with cutting-edge AI technologies.

A Global Team Without Borders

This year, we took another important step in expanding our international presence by opening a new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina in addition to offices in Ukraine, Poland, USA.

This new location is much more than another pin on the map. It enables us to grow our global team with talented engineers from Latin America while collaborating even more effectively with clients across different time zones.

Today, Agiliway brings together specialists from diverse countries, cultures, and professional backgrounds. This diversity is one of our greatest strengths, helping us create solutions that meet the needs of businesses around the world.

Over the past couple of years, Agiliway has been expanding our AI expertise by adopting an AI-augmented software development approach.

Today, we help clients not only integrate AI into their products, but also rebuild business processes, develop intelligent services, and unlock new opportunities for growth using AI agents, generative AI, computer vision, machine learning, and large language models.

That is why one of Agiliway’s significant achievements this year was earning ISO 42001 certification – the world’s first international standard for AI management systems. This certification reflects our commitment to developing AI responsibly through transparent processes, effective risk management, strong information security, and ethical AI practices. We believe this approach will become the new benchmark for the industry.

This year, we also reconfirmed our ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certifications, reaffirming our long-standing commitment to information security and quality management as the foundation on which our AI governance practices are built.

Partnerships That Create New Opportunities

This year, Agiliway also joined Anthropic’s Claude Partner Network. This partnership allows us to deliver advanced AI solutions to enterprise clients more effectively by leveraging one of the world’s leading generative AI platforms.

Agiliway at Global Tech Events

Over the past year, Agiliway’s team has been out in the world, sharing what we’ve learned, listening to what’s shaping the industry, and connecting with partners and peers across the AI and tech landscape. From major international AI summits, regional developer meetups to speaking at the main stage of one of the DevOpsDays events. Agiliway took the keynote to share our vision on how AI is reshaping team-building decisions. Mark Koelsch, our North America President and Co-Founder, presented a practical framework for deciding when to upskill internal teams versus bring in outside talent, weighing factors like speed, strategic importance, and retention risk.

Growing Our Own Products

Beyond the work we do for clients, we’ve kept investing in something that’s entirely ours: CiviMobile, our mobile app for CiviCRM. As the exclusive CiviCRM partner in Ukraine and Poland, building this product out remains a priority we take seriously.

This year brought continued updates to the app, including improved contact management, predictive analytics, and smarter automated workflows, among other improvements aimed at making the platform more useful for NGOs managing day-to-day operations in the field.

Also, this year we launched Agilicoin, a custom token running on the Solana blockchain that powers a real internal rewards marketplace. These tokens can be spent in a company store, sent to colleagues, or used for donations.

Agilicoin reflects how we approach engineering more broadly by solving the hard problems at the architecture level first, not after the fact.

Optimizing Business Processes

Our BPO department, operating under the VAfromEurope brand, has continued to grow into a service that helps businesses simplify how they run their day-to-day operations. By pairing automation and AI tools with practical process analysis, we help clients cut down on the manual work that slows teams down.

The clients we work with vary widely – from startups looking to offload administrative overhead, to enterprises building out dedicated support functions. In addition to the consistent work the BPO department performs, the team has been involved in data labeling for improving the AI solutions we build.

Our 11th anniversary is not only an opportunity to reflect on how far we’ve come, but also a reminder of how rapidly the technology landscape continues to evolve.
