Senior QA Engineer

Lviv Office

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Senior QA Engineer to join product development for our client from the USA.

This platform aims to create a service that will perform object detection on the road. The service will identify various objects and conditions encountered during a trip and send appropriate notifications about these detections. The goal is to enhance road safety and provide real-time information to users about potential hazards or important events that occur while driving.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Experience: 5+ years in QA, including senior-level ownership of product quality or mentoring other engineers.
  • Methodology: strong test design (boundary, equivalence, decision tables); test plans, cases, checklists; clear distinction between smoke, sanity, regression, and E2E testing.
  • Mobile testing: deep hands-on experience on iOS and Android across OS versions and multiple devices, including tablets and landscape layouts.
  • Geolocation & telemetry: testing GPS and real-time data (mock location, background behavior, route simulation, battery impact).
  • Payments: testing App Store and Google Play in-app purchases and subscriptions, including per-seat and add-on scenarios, as well as refunds.
  • Automation: practical mobile automation (Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest) plus API testing (Postman, REST-assured, or Playwright).
  • Tools: Jira and a test management system (TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray).
  • English: Upper-Intermediate or higher, with daily communication with an English-speaking Product Owner.
  • API and integration testing of third-party systems.
  • SDK testing experience (the platform ships its own SDK).
  • Experience with crash reporting and analytics tools (Crashlytics, Sentry).

Responsibilities

  • Own the QA strategy for the mobile apps and the fleet product line: test plans, coverage, risk assessment, and release readiness.
  • Design and maintain test documentation, including test cases, checklists, regression suites, and clear bug reports.
  • Test across iOS, Android phones, and Android tablets (including landscape layouts).
  • Validate real-time telemetry and GPS flows, video capture/streaming, and their synchronization.
  • Test subscriptions and in-app purchases: monthly/annual plans, per-seat model, seat add-ons, and billing edge cases.
  • Verify role-based access (fleet admin vs. driver) and the admin dashboard.
  • Collaborate directly with developers and stakeholders, raise risks early, and help shape new features (e.g., Geotab integration architecture).

We offer

  • Comfortable working environment.
  • Friendly team and management.
  • Free English classes.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • 100% paid vacation (4 weeks per year).
  • 100% paid sick leave.
  • Corporate and team-building events.
  • Medical insurance (50% covered by the company).
