Lead/Senior Data Engineer
We are looking for a Lead/Senior Data Engineer to join product development for our client from the USA. The product is a platform that helps companies manage, retain, and grow their existing customer base, build relationships with them, and proactively manage success throughout the customer lifecycle.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Deep expertise in a cloud-native data warehouse platform (Snowflake or equivalent)
- Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or GenAI tooling into production data pipelines
- Strong foundation in cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar) and end-to-end data platform ownership
- Ability to move fluidly between architecture decisions and writing production-quality code
- Strong communication skills
- English level-Upper-intermediate or higher
Nice to Have:
- Experience with dbt, Apache Spark, or managed ETL/ELT services
- Familiarity with Reverse ETL patterns for operational data activation
- Background in cost optimization and platform consolidation initiatives
- Design and build a scalable, modern data lakehouse that serves BI, data science, and operational use cases
- Engineer and optimize data pipelines including ingestion, transformation, and delivery . All of this with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Integrate AI and LLMs into production data workflows, including processing unstructured data for automated analysis and business enrichment
- Drive modernization of the data platform to reduce time-to-insight and improve cost efficiency
You’ll work closely with the director of engineering and a strong team of developers to shape how data flows through a SaaS application — from raw ingestion to AI-powered insights.
This is a hands-on role. You’ll spend most of your time building, not delegating. But you’ll also have real influence over architectural direction and long-term platform strategy.
